I made fun of Fraggle when he asked if we licked rocks.... but the very next day in class I was told that Chrysocolla (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysocolla) will stick to your tongue but Turquoise (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torquoise) will not... however, considering how many minerals have nasty things like arsenic in them it's like an intelligent test for geo students to decide if licking is a good idea or not.
